چکیده

2014 57Fe Mössbauer spectroscopy has been combined with bulk magnetic measurements to determine the valence state and coordination of iron as well as the magnetic properties of the ternary oxide glasses, Li2O-B2O3Fe2O3. In all investigated glasses (~ 8.4 at % Fe), the Fe3+ ions coexist in tetrahedral and octahedral coordinations ; the presence of Fe2+ ions ( 15 %), which is observed in some glasses, is related to preparation conditions. The magnetic properties of the glasses are governed by the iron content. At low iron concentration ( 3 at %), isolated Fe3+ ions coexist with antiferromagnetic dimers and trimers. At large iron content (3.8 to 8.4 at %) the glasses undergo a mictomagnetic transition to a speromagnetic ordered state. The freezing temperature (Tf), which is frequency dependent, is found to follow a Fulcher law in one sample (5.8 at % Fe) investigated in detail. J. Physique 43 (1982) 1707-1716 NOVEMBRE 1982,

Immobilization of Simulated High Level Nuclear Wastes with Li2O-CeO2-Fe2O3-P2O5 Glasses

The leaching behavior and structure of Li2O-CeO2Fe2O3-P2O5 glasses incorporated with simulated high level nuclear wastes (HLW) were studied. The leach rates of gross and each constituent element were determined from the total weight loss of the specimen and the leachate analyses by inductively coupled argon plasma spectroscopy (ICP). The gross leach rate of the 4.5Li2O9.7CeO2-34.7Fe2O3-51.5P2O5...

Structural and magnetic properties of sodium iron germanate glasses

A series of sodium iron germanate glasses, with general composition 0.3Na2O±xFe2O3±(0.7 ) x)GeO2 (06 x6 0:15), has been prepared by conventional melting and casting. The chemical states of the various elemental components have been investigated by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) from fracture surfaces produced in situ. The analysis of the Fe 3p core level spectra of the glasses which con...

Lithium-induced conversion reaction in wüstite Fe1-xO studied by 57Fe Mössbauer spectroscopy

Fe1-xO wüstite as negative electrode material for Li-ion batteries has been studied. The aim of this work is to get a better understanding of the insertion mechanism involved during reduction/oxidation processes. Electrochemical tests have been done in Swagelock TM cells and shown a high specific capacity of 800 Ah/kg for the first discharge. X-ray diffraction and 57 Fe Mössbauer spectroscopy p...

Structural and electrical properties of tellurovanadate glasses containing

Glassy materials are promising intercalation compounds, due to their open network structure and absence of grain boundaries. Some glasses containing alkali ions and a high concentration of transition metal ions can present mixed ionicelectronic conductivity and are therefore potential candidates for application as cathode material in Li-ion batteries. The present work is devoted to the ternary ...

Improve Synthesis of Iron Oxide Nanorode with Hydrothermal Method

Maghemite and magnetite nanoparticles and nanorode are now losing interests in the field of nanobiotechnology and pharmaceutical for their applications. This paper reports on a hydrothermal process for the synthesis of Fe2 O3 in the γ-phases nanorodes, when the hydrothermal temperature was 100 ̊ C. The uniqueness of the method lies in the use of ferrous ammonium sulphate, hexamine was added as t...
